Since 1999, HodgeArts has created films, multimedia installations for everything from startups and non-profits to global brands. Our work includes animation, live action, interview-style documentary, and music composition. Through a diverse and highly experienced team, we offer a full range of services from screenwriting to color grading, and have specific experience in aerial photography and motion control. But in the end, we believe passion and craft are essential to telling an emotional story that connects with your audience.

David Hodge
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, David attended college at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied industrial design and photography. In his first career he worked as a product designer for Apple, Frog, and Lunar Design, and then went on to form his own company, David Hodge Design, whose clients included Steelcase, Herman Miller, Hasbro, Frigidaire, and Bissell. In 1997, he founded the company that is now Hodge Arts and began working as a professional filmmaker. Since then, his projects have included product, commercial, and promotional films, as well as documentaries and artistic installations on a diverse range of topics. In each of these, his goal is to create simple, beautiful narratives that bring life and interest to their subject matter, while making a positive impact on organizations and the world .In his spare time, David is an avid cyclist and jazz musician. He also designed and developed a number of houses over the past 10 years.
Hi-Jin Hodge
Born in South Korea, Hi-Jin grew up in Sweden. She studied product design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, after which she took a job as a product designer at Electrolux in Stockholm. In 1999 she moved to San Francisco, where she worked for Montgomery Pfeifer. In 2001 she co-founded Hodge Arts with David. Since then she has focused on filmmaking, artistic installations, web development, and devising communication strategies for various clients. Her international background and cultural experience bring a colorful style and a unique perspective to her work. She also enjoys spending time on the beach, cycling, traveling, playing piano and designing houses.
